Genesis 45:28
ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਅਜੇ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ! ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ।”

ਸਿਮਓਨ ਨੇ ਬਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਾਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ:

“ਜਦੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਇੱਕ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦਰਦ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸਦਾ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਆ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਇੱਕ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਕਾਰਣ, ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਬਾਲਕ ਜਨਮਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪੀੜਾਂ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
