Genesis 39:20
ਉੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਕੈਦਖਾਨਾ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪੋਟੀਫ਼ਰ ਨੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਕੈਦਖਾਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਰਿਹਾ।

ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਇਬਰਾਨੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਗਲਤ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੈਦਖਾਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।”
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 40:1
ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੋ ਸੁਪਨਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਝ ਮੰਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਹ ਦੋ ਨੌਕਰ ਸਨ ਨਾਨਬਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਅ ਵਰਤਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 41:9
ਨੌਕਰ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੂੰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦਾ ਚੇਤਾ ਆਇਆ। ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਣੇ ਬੁਰਾ ਚੇਤੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 76:10
ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਆਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਵੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਇੱਕ ਰੱਸਾ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਬੇੜੀ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 53:8
ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਾਕਤ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਗਏ-ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਲਾਗ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੋਲੇ, ਪਜਾਮੇ, ਟੋਪੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਹਿਨੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ (ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਂਨ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਠ੍ਠੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਸਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਜੰਜ਼ੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਕੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਮਾੜਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਮੈਂ ਜੰਜ਼ੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ, ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਜ਼ੀਰਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਈਆਂ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦੀਆਂ।
੧ ਪਤਰਸ 2:19
ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਦੁੱਖ ਝੱਲਣਾ ਪੈ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਗਲਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਉਸ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸਮਝਕੇ ਸਹਿਨ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
