Genesis 38:5
ਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸ਼ੇਲਾਹ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸ ਤੀਸਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਹੋਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਕਜ਼ੀਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਨੂੰਹ ਤਾਮਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਚਲੀ ਜਾਹ। ਉੱਥੇ ਠਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਓਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਨਾ ਕਰੀਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਛੋਟਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ੇਲਾਹ ਜਵਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ।” ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਡਰ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸ਼ੇਲਾਹ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ। ਤਾਮਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 38:26
ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਉਹ ਠੀਕ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਗਲਤ ਸਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ੇਲਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਆਹਿਆ ਜਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।” ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਦੋਬਾਰਾ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁੱਤਾ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 46:12
ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ ਏਰ, ਓਨਾਨ, ਸ਼ੇਲਾਹ, ਫ਼ਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਾਰਹ। (ਏਰ ਅਤੇ ਓਨਾਨ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਮਰ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਜੇ ਉਹ ਕਨਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਸਨ।) ਫ਼ਰਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ ਹਸਰੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਮੂਲ।

ਸ਼ੇਲਾਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੇਲਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਏਰ, ਲਅਦਾਹ, ਯੋਕੀਮ, ਕੋਜ਼ੇਬਾ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀ, ਯੋਆਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਾਫ਼ ਸਨ। ਏਰ ਲੇਕਾਹ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। ਲਅਦਾਰ ਮਾਰੇਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਤ-ਅਸ਼ਬੇਆ ਵਿਖੇ ਲਿਨਨ ਦੇ ਕਾਮਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। ਯੋਆਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਾਫ ਨੇ ਮੋਆਬੀ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਵਾਏ। ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਬੈਤਲਹਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਪਰਤ ਗਏ। ਇਸ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਪੁਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
