ਅਦੋਮ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੰਘਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਕਾਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਕੇ ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਵੱਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ: “ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਭਰਾ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ: ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੀ-ਕੀ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਝੱਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਕੰਬਣਗੇ। ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਬਣਗੇ। ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

ਦਿਸ਼ੋਨ, ਏਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਦੀਸ਼ਾਨ। ਇਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੋਰੀ ਆਗੂ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੇਈਰ (ਅਦੋਮ) ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।

ਏਸਾਓ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਆਹਾਲੀਬਾਮਾਹ, ਅਨਾਹ ਦੀ ਧੀ, ਨੇ ਯਊਸ, ਯਲਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਰਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਹ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾਮਾ ਸਨ।
