ਇਸ ਲਈ ਏਸਾਓ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੁਝ ਬੰਦੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਛੱਡ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।” ਪਰ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਇਸਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ।”

ਸ਼ਕਮ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਸ਼ਕਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕਰੋ। ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਉਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਾਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖੋਂਗੇ।

ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖ਼ਿਆ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਜਾਨਾ ਬਚਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਜੇਕਰ ਇਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੰਜ਼ੂਰ ਹੋਵੇ, ਅਸੀਂ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਦੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਰਹਾਂਗੇ।”

ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ। ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੁਆਨਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੀ ਰਹਿਮ ਕਰੀਂ। ਇਹ ਇਸ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਹਨ। ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜੁਆਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਦੇ। ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਖਾਤਿਰ ਉਹ ਉਪਕਾਰ ਕਰ। ਤੇਰਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ, ਦਾਊਦ।”

ਤਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਸੀਬਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਵਾਪਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਮਫ਼ੀਬੋਸ਼ਥ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਹੈ।” ਸੀਬਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਸਿਰ ਨਿਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਸ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਯੋਗ ਹੋਵਾਂ।”
