Genesis 33:14
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਚੱਲੋ। ਮੈਂ ਹੌਲੀ-ਹੌਲੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਕਾਰਣ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਹੌਲੀ ਚੱਲਾਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਰਹਿਣ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਨਾ ਥੱਕ ਜਾਣ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੇਈਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਾਂਗਾ।”

ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਸੇਈਰ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਦੋਮ ਦਾ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਏਸਾਓ ਵੱਲ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕ ਭੇਜੇ।

ਮੈਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਨਹੀਂ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਨਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਸੱਕਾਂ।

ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਉਹ ਦੁੱਧ ਵਰਗੀ ਸੀ, ਠੋਸ ਆਹਾਰ ਵਰਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਮੈਂ ਇਉਂ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਹਾਲੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਠੋਸ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ।
ਰੋਮੀਆਂ 15:1

ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਕਈ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਂਤ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨੇ ਹੀ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਹ ਸਮਝਣ ਯੋਗ ਸਨ।

“ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਸ਼ਈਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇਸਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬੋਲ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅਯਾਲੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਾਜ਼ੂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਇਕੱਠੀਆਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਾਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ੜੀ ਰੱਖੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਾਵਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਤੁਰਨਗੀਆਂ।

“ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕਿ ਅੰਮੋਨੀ, ਮੋਆਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਈਰ ਪਹਾੜ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਕੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ ਹੱਲਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮੁੜ ਗਏ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਕਜ਼ਾૃ 5:4
“ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਸੇਈਰ ਤੋਂ ਆਵੇਂ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਅਦੋਮ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਕੂਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਧਰਤੀ ਹਿੱਲ ਗਈ। ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ, ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ।
ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 2:1
ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਹੈ “ਫ਼ੇਰ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਅਸੀਂ ਲਾਲ ਸਾਗਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਸ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸੇਈਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਘੁੰਮਣ ਲਈ ਕਈ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
