ਏਸਾਓ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਏਸਾਓ 40 ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਹਿੱਤੀ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ। ਇੱਕ ਬੇਰੀ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਯਹੂਦਿਥ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਏਲੋਨ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਬਾਸਮਥ ਸੀ।

ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 28:9
ਏਸਾਓ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਦੋ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਇਸਮਾਏਲ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਕਰ ਲਈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਮਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਧੀ, ਮਹਲਥ, ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਕਰ ਲਈ। ਇਸਮਾਏਲ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਮਹਲਥ ਨਬਾਯੋਥ ਦੀ ਭੈਣ ਸੀ।

ਅਤੇ ਆਹਾਲੀਬਮਾਹ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਯਊਸ਼, ਯਾਲਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਰਹ। ਇਹ ਏਸਾਓ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 36:13
ਰਊਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ: ਨਹਥ, ਜ਼ਰਹ, ਸ਼ੰਮਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਹ੍ਹ। ਇਹ ਏਸਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਬਾਸਮਥ ਦੇ ਪੋਤੇ ਸਨ।

ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਚੁਣ ਲਵੋਂ। ਉਹ ਧੀਆਂ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰ ਸੱਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਪਰ ਉੱਥੇ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਖਤਰਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਔਰਤ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਬਰਾਨੀਆਂ 12:16
ਸਾਵੱਧਾਨ ਰਹੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਪਾਪ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ। ਸਾਵੱਧਾਨ ਰਹੋ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਏਸਾਉ ਵਰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ। ਏਸਾਉ ਜੇਠਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਾਸੇ ਦਾ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਏਸਾਉ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਡੰਗ ਭੋਜਨ ਦੀ ਖਾਤਿਰ ਵੇਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
