ਇਸ ਲਈ ਏਸਾਓ ਨੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਭੁੱਖਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਾਲ ਫ਼ਲੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਥੋੜੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਦੇ।” (ਇਹੀ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਦੋਮ ਸੱਦਦੇ ਹਨ।)
