Genesis 18:7
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਵੱਲ ਦੌੜਿਆ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਵੱਛਾ ਲਿਆ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਵੱਛਾ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਛਾ ਜਿਬਾਹ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰੇ।

ਪਰ ਲੂਤ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਆਉਣ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਦੂਤ ਲੂਤ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਰਾਜ਼ੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਲੂਤ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗਏ। ਲੂਤ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਖਾਣ-ਪੀਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਲੂਤ ਨੇ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਰੋਟੀ ਪਕਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਚਿਰ ਠਹਿਰੋ। ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਭੋਜਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੱਕਰਾ ਰਿੰਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।”
ਆਮੋਸ 6:4
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹਾਬੀ ਦੰਦ ਦੇ ਪਲੰਘਾਂ ਤੇ ਸੌਁਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੋਫ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਲੇਟਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਚੋ ਲੇਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਬੇਲਿਆਂ ਚੋ ਵੱਛੇ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹੋ।
ਮਲਾਕੀ 1:14
ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਕੁਝ ਤਗੜ੍ਹੇ ਨਰ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਤਾਂ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ ’ਚ ਉਹ ਬਲੀ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਵੱਧੀਆ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੇ। ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੱਧੀਆ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੜਤ ਵੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੋਟੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਵੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਚਲਾਕੀ ਨਾਲ ਚੰਗੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਬਦਲ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਵੇਂ ਬੀਮਾਰ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੜ੍ਹ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਬਦੀ ਵਾਪਰੇਗੀ। ਮੈਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹਾਂ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।” ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਇਉਂ ਆਖਿਆ।

“ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਧ ਨੋਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਣ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ, ‘ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੋ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਸੱਦਿਆ; ਦਾਵਤ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਲਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਟੇ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਵੱਢਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਦਾਵਤ ਲਈ ਆਓ।’
ਲੋਕਾ 15:23
ਇੱਕ ਮੋਟਾ ਵਛਾ ਲਿਆਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਟੋ। ਅਸੀਂ ਦਾਵਤ ਕਰੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਕਰੀਏ।
ਲੋਕਾ 15:27
ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਭਰਾ ਵਾਪਸ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਠੀਕ-ਠਾਕ ਘਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦਾਅਵਤ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮੋਟਾ ਵੱਛਾ ਵੱਢਿਆ ਹੈ।’

ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਇਹ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੰਜਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਪੈਸਾ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੋਟਾ ਵੱਛਾ ਵੱਢਿਆ ਹੈ।’
