ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 93:5
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨੇਮ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਬਣੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ। ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ।

ਇੰਝ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨਾ ਮੰਨਣ, ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਪੈ ਜਾਣ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲਣ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਮੂਸਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ, ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਖੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਹ ਸਨ: ਬਾਕੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ, ਜਾਜਕ, ਲੇਵੀ, ਦਰਬਾਨ, ਗਵਈਏ, ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਧਰਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵੱਖਰਿਆਂ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨ ਸੱਕਣ। ਇਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ, ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਉੱਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਕੇ ਇਹ ਸੌਂਹ ਖਾਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਹੀ ਚੱਲਾਂਗੇ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ, ਨਿਆਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਲਣ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।
ਅਜ਼ਰਾ 9:1
ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ, ਤਾਂ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਣ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਅਜ਼ਰਾ! ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ, ਕਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਹਿੱਤੀਆਂ, ਫਰਿੱਜੀਆਂ, ਯਬੂਸੀਆਂ, ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆਂ, ਮੋਆਬੀਆਂ, ਮਿਸਰੀਆਂ, ਤੇ ਅਮੋਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਿਨਾਉਣੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਗਿਣਤੀ 9:10
“ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖ: ਇਹ ਬਿਧੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਪਸਾਹ ਦਾ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਜਿਸਮ ਛੂਹ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੀ।
ਗਿਣਤੀ 9:6
ਪਰ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਪਸਾਹ ਦਾ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਨਾ ਸੱਕੇ। ਉਹ ਅਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਨ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਜਿਸਮ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਮੂਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਕੋਲ ਗਏ।
