ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਮੰਨਣ ਦੇ ਸਰਾਪ “ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ-ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਨੇਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ-ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ:

ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਉਂ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਬਰਕਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਸੀਸ ਮੰਗੋਂਗੇ ਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਉਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੇ ਕਰੋਪੀ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ।” ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਉਂ ਫੁਰਮਾਇਆ।
ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 28:2
ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣੋ, ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਆਸੀਸਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਣਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।

ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਧਰਮੀ ਬਨਣ ਲਈ ਨੇਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਸਰਾਪੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਕਿਉਂ? ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਆਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, “ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਨੇਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਇਸਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਸਰਾਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।”
ਰੋਮੀਆਂ 2:8
ਪਰ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਸੁਆਰਥੀ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰੀ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਸਰਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੰਡ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਰੋਧ ਵਿਖਾਵੇਗਾ।
ਨੂਹ 2:17
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸਦੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਣਾਈ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਰਹਿਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ, ਉਸ ਕਾਰਣ, ਤੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਯਸ਼ਵਾ 23:15
ਹਰ ਨੇਕ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਸਿੱਧ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਦਿਖਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੰਦਾ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਚੰਗੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।
ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 29:20
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਹੋਰਨਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਇਸ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹਨ।
ਦਾਨੀ ਐਲ 9:11
ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਿਆ। ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਬਿਵਸਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਾਪ ਅਤੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। (ਮੂਸਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੀ।) ਉਹ ਸਰਾਪ ਅਤੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ-ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਰੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵਾਪਰੀਆਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤੇ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 3:11
ਪਰ ਬਦੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਬੁਰਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਮਿਲਣਗੀਆਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ।
ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 27:15
“‘ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜੋ ਝੂਠਾ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਪਤ ਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਸਰਾਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਕਾਰੀਗਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਹਨ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ!’ “ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਆਖਣਗੇ, ‘ਆਮੀਨ!’
ਅਹਬਾਰ 26:14
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ “ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ।
