ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਦੀ ਨਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਫ਼ਸਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਭਾਲ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਣ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਰਾਜ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਮੈਂ ਬੂਜ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਏਲ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਬਾਰ ਨਹਿਰ ਲਾਗੇ ਦੇਸ ਨਿਕਾਲਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਆਸਮਾਨ ਫ਼ਟ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਵੇਖੇ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਤੇਰਵੇਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਚੌਬੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਦੀ ਹੈ। ਰਾਜੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਨ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੇਸ ਨਿਕਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਉਸ ਬਾਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਈ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 52:16
ਪਰ ਨਬੂਜ਼ਰਦਾਨ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਗ਼ਰੀਬ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਗ਼ੀਚਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਗਦਲਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਬੋੜੀ ਦੇਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਓੱਥੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ, ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਹੀਕਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਗਦਲਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਖੀ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਗਰੀਬ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
੨ ਸਲਾਤੀਨ 24:16
ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ 7,000 ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਸਨ। ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ 1,000 ਕਾਰੀਗਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਕਾਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੰਗ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਲਏ ਹੋਏ ਜੰਗ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾਕੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 39:10
ਪਰ ਖਾਸ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਨਬੂਜ਼ਰਦਾਨ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਹ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਨਬੂਜ਼ਰਦਾਨ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਰੀਬ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਗੀਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 29:2
(ਇਹ ਖਤ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ, ਰਾਣੀ ਮਾਤਾ, ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ, ਤਰੱਖਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਧਾਤ ਦੇ ਕਾਮੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲਿਆਂਦੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।)
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 24:1
ਚੰਗੇ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਰਸਾਈਆਂ: ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਅੰਜੀਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਜਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਦੋ ਟੋਕਰੇ ਦੇਖੇ। (ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਉਦੋਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਯਕਾਨਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਦੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਯਕਾਨਯਾਹ ਰਾਜੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਯਕਾਨਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਤਰੱਖਾਣਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਧਾਤ ਦੇ ਕਾਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।)

ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਨ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਨ 18ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਦਸ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਕੰਮ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਗੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤੇ।

ਜ਼ੀਫ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਬਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਤਦ ਜ਼ੀਫ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਗਿਬਆਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਦਾਊਦ ਸਾਡੇ ਹੀ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੁਕਦਾ ਫ਼ਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਕਤ ਉਹ ਹੋਰੇਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੱਕੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨੀਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਉੱਪਰ ਜੋ ਯਸੀਮੋਨ ਦੀ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਹੈ, ਉੱਥੇ ਲੁਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
