“ਅਤੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਤੂੰ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ। ਤਹਿ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਛਿੱਤ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ, ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਰੀਖਿਆ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਣੀ ਜਾਣ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਮਦਦ ਮੰਗੋਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਵਾਬ ਪਾਵੋਗੇ ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬੇਮੁਖ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤਿਲਾਂਜਲੀ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।

ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 32:15

“ਮੇਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਸਜੀਵ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਚਸ਼ਮਾ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਹੌਦ ਖੋਦ ਲੇ ਨੇ। ਉਹ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਵੱਲ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ ਨੇ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਹੌਦ ਟੁੱਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਨੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੌਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੁਕ ਸੱਕਦਾ।

ਯਵਨਾਹ 2:8
“ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਅਰਬ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ।
