ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਨਹੀਂ ਦਾਊਦ! ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਉਂ ਲਈ ਘਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾਵੇਂਗਾ। ਤੂੰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਈ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਹਤਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।’
