Romans 7 - DBY (Punjabi)

1 Are ye ignorant, brethren, (for I speak to those knowing law,) that law rules over a man as long as he lives?ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਜਰੂਰ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ ਕਿ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਦਿਨ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਨੇ ਦਿਨ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਉਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਵੱਸ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ।

2 For the married woman is bound by law to her husband so long as he is alive; but if the husband should die, she is clear from the law of the husband:ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਉਦਾਹਰਣ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ; ਇੱਕ ਵਿਆਹੀ ਔਰਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਤੋਂ, ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

3 so then, the husband being alive, she shall be called an adulteress if she be to another man; but if the husband should die, she is free from the law, so as not to be an adulteress, though she be to another man.ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਦੂਜੇ ਵਿ ਅਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਦੋਂ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਅਜੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਬਦਕਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਦੋਸ਼ਣ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਪਰ ਜੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਤੋਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੂਜੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਬਦਕਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਦੋਸ਼ਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।

4 So that, my brethren, *ye* also have been made dead to the law by the body of the Christ, to be to another, who has been raised up from among [the] dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God.ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਲਈ ਮਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਭਾਵ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਵਾਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਹੁਣ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਈ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ।

5 For when we were in the flesh the passions of sins, which [were] by the law, wrought in our members to bring forth fruit to death;ਅਤੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤੇਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਵੱਲ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ।

6 but now we are clear from the law, having died in that in which we were held, so that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in oldness of letter.ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੈਦੀਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਮਰ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਤੋਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਵੇਂ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ, ਨਾ ਕਿ ਲਿਖੇ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ। ਹੁਣ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਵੇਂ ਢੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।

7 What shall we say then? [is] the law sin? Far be the thought. But I had not known sin, unless by law: for I had not had conscience also of lust unless the law had said, Thou shalt not lust;ਪਾਪ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸਾਡੀ ਜੰਗ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸਿੱਟਾ ਕੀ ਹੈ? ਕੀ ਪਾਪ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਇੱਕੋ ਹਨ? ਨਿਰਸੰਦੇਹ ਨਹੀਂ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੈਂ ਪਾਪ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਜੇਕਰ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ “ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ,” ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਕਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਾ ਪਤਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ।

8 but sin, getting a point of attack by the commandment, wrought in me every lust; for without law sin [was] dead.ਪਰ ਪਾਪ ਨੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਅਵਸਰ ਦਾ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ, ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਲਤ ਇੱਛਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਾਪ ਆਇਆ। ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਪਾਪ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

9 But *I* was alive without law once; but the commandment having come, sin revived, but *I* died.ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ, ਤਾਂ ਪਾਪ ਨੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

10 And the commandment, which [was] for life, was found, [as] to me, itself [to be] unto death:ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਪਾਪ ਕਾਰਣ ਆਤਮਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੌਤ ਲਿਆਇਆ।

11 for sin, getting a point of attack by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew [me].ਪਾਪ ਨੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਮਰਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਢੰਗ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਲਿਆਇਆ।

12 So that the law indeed [is] holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਪਵਿਤਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਪਵਿਤਰ, ਚੰਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਆਂਈ ਹੈ।

13 Did then that which is good become death to me? Far be the thought. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death to me by that which is good; in order that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.ਤਾਂ ਇਸਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗੀ ਗਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਮੌਤ ਲਿਆਈ? ਨਿਰਸੰਦੇਹ ਨਹੀਂ। ਪਰ ਪਾਪ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਪਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਪ ਵਜੋਂ ਪਛਾਣ ਸੱਕਾਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੋਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਹੁਕਮ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੈਂ ਵੇਖ ਸੱਕਾਂ ਕਿ ਪਾਪ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਹੈ।

14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but *I* am fleshly, sold under sin.ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਦਵੰਦ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਸ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਵਿਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਇੱਕ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਾਂ।

15 For that which I do, I do not own: for not what I will, this I do; but what I hate, this I practise.ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਨੇਕੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ। ਇਸਦੀ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

16 But if what I do not will, this I practise, I consent to the law that [it is] right.ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਬੁਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ, ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਇਸਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਚੰਗੀ ਹੈ।

17 Now then [it is] no longer *I* [that] do it, but the sin that dwells in me.ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਬੁਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਪਾਪ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, good does not dwell: for to will is there with me, but to do right [I find] not.ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ। ਮੈਂ, ਜੋ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਇਹ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।

19 For I do not practise the good that I will; but the evil I do not will, that I do.ਮੈਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਭੈੜੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ।

20 But if what *I* do not will, this I practise, [it is] no longer *I* [that] do it, but the sin that dwells in me.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੇਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪਾਪ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

21 I find then the law upon *me* who will to practise what is right, that with *me* evil is there.ਸੋ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਅਸੂਲ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ: ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਬੁਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।

22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man:ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕੱਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

23 but I see another law in my members, warring in opposition to the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which exists in my members.ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਨਿਯਮ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਲੜਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਕਬੂਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਉਹ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਿਯਮ ਪਾਪ ਦਾ ਨੇਮ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੈਦੀ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

24 O wretched man that I [am]! who shall deliver me out of this body of death?ਮੈਂ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਅਭਾਗਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਤੋਂ ਕੌਣ ਬਚਾਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਮੌਤ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਉਦਾ ਹੈ।

25 I thank God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then *I* *myself* with the mind serve God's law; but with the flesh sin's law.ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਵੇਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਸਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਦਾ ਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਪਾਪ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਦਾ ਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ।
