1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, an Apostle by the selection of God, given authority as a preacher of the good news,ਪੌਲੁਸ, ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰਸੂਲ ਬਨਣ ਲਈ ਸੱਦਿਆ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ।

2 Of which God had given word before by his prophets in the holy Writings,ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਇਹ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਨਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਵਚਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਵਚਨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

3 About his Son who, in the flesh, came from the family of David,ਇਹ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰਤਾ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਜੀ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ।

4 But was marked out as Son of God in power by the Holy Spirit through the coming to life again of the dead; Jesus Christ our Lord,

5 Through whom grace has been given to us, sending us out to make disciples to the faith among all nations, for his name:ਮਸੀਹ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰਸੂਲ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰਤਾ ਵੱਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਲਿਆਵੇਗਾ।

6 Among whom you in the same way have been marked out to be disciples of Jesus Christ:ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

7 To all those who are in Rome, loved by God, marked out as saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.ਇਹ ਚਿੱਠੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੋਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਖੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਲੋਕ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ।

8 First of all, I give praise to my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because news of your faith has gone into all the world.ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

9 For God is my witness, whose servant I am in spirit in the good news of his Son, that you are at all times in my memory and in my prayers,ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸੱਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।

10 And that I am ever making prayers that God will give me a good journey to you.

11 For I have a strong desire to see you, and to give you some grace of the spirit, so that you may be made strong;ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸੁਕ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਆਤਮਕ ਤੋਹਫ਼ੇ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

12 That is to say, that all of us may be comforted together by the faith which is in you and in me.ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਰਸਪਰ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਬਣਾ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਾਵ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੈ।

13 You may be certain, my brothers, that it has frequently been in my mind to come to you (but till now I was kept from it), so that I might have some fruit from you in the same way as I have had it from the other nations.ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਬੜੀ ਵਾਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਗਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਵਾਧੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਾਂ ਉਵੇਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।

14 I have a debt to Greeks and to the nations outside; to the wise and to those who have no learning.ਸਭ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ, ਯੂਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਰ-ਯੂਨਾਨੀਆਂ, ਬੁੱਧੀਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ, ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਫ਼ਰਜ਼ ਹੈ।

15 For which reason I have the desire, as far as I am able, to give the knowledge of the good news to you who are in Rome.ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਰੋਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋ, ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਇੱਛੁਕ ਹਾਂ।

16 For I have no feeling of shame about the good news, because it is the power of God giving salvation to everyone who has faith, to the Jew first, and then to the Greek.ਮੈਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਉਹ ਤਾਕਤ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਰ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

17 For in it there is the revelation of the righteousness of God from faith to faith: as it is said in the holy Writings, The man who does righteousness will be living by his faith.ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਇਹ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਮੀ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਧਰਮੀ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, “ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਨਮਿੱਤ ਧਰਮੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ।”

18 For there is a revelation of the wrath of God from heaven against all the wrongdoing and evil thoughts of men who keep down what is true by wrongdoing;ਸਭ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਗਲਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਕਰੋਧ ਸਵਰਗੋਂ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਭ ਗਲਤ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਭੈੜੀਆਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਲਕੋਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

19 Because the knowledge of God may be seen in them, God having made it clear to them.ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਕੋਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹਾਂ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ ਹੈ।

20 For from the first making of the world, those things of God which the eye is unable to see, that is, his eternal power and existence, are fully made clear, he having given the knowledge of them through the things which he has made, so that men have no reason for wrongdoing:ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੁਝ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ। ਉਹ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਅਰੰਭ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਸੌਖਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਬਹਾਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

21 Because, having the knowledge of God, they did not give glory to God as God, and did not give praise, but their minds were full of foolish things, and their hearts, being without sense, were made dark.ਲੋਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਤਿਕਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਦਿਲ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਏ ਸਨ।

22 Seeming to be wise, they were in fact foolish,ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਵ੍ਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮੂਰਖ ਬਣ ਗਏ।

23 And by them the glory of the eternal God was changed and made into the image of man who is not eternal, and of birds and beasts and things which go on the earth.ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਬਨਾਸ਼ੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਕਾਰਨਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤੇ ਇਸਦੀ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਜੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਦਿਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ, ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਸੱਪਾਂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਨਾਸ਼ਵਾਨ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਦਾ ਵਪਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।

24 For this reason God gave them up to the evil desires of their hearts, working shame in their bodies with one another:ਲੋਕੀਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਰਾਹ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਰਮਨਾਕ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਲਤ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ।

25 Because by them the true word of God was changed into that which is false, and they gave worship and honour to the thing which is made, and not to him who made it, to whom be blessing for ever. So be it.ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਝੂਠ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਆਮੀਨ।

26 For this reason God gave them up to evil passions, and their women were changing the natural use into one which is unnatural:ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰੀ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਛਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਰਦਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਤੋੜ ਲਏ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਸਰੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਜੋੜ ਲਏ।

27 And in the same way the men gave up the natural use of the woman and were burning in their desire for one another, men doing shame with men, and getting in their bodies the right reward of their evil-doing.ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਰਦਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਤੋੜ ਲਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਮਾਤੁਰ ਹੋਕੇ ਕਾਮਅਗਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੱਚਣ ਲੱਗੇ। ਇੰਝ ਮਰਦਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਕੀਤੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾਂ ਭੁਗਤਨੀ ਪਈ।

28 And because they had not the mind to keep God in their knowledge, God gave them up to an evil mind, to do those things which are not right;ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਉਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਨਾ ਸਮਝਿਆ, ਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਿਕੰਮੀਆਂ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਤੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਸਨ।

29 Being full of all wrongdoing, evil, desire for the goods of others, hate, envy, putting to death, fighting, deceit, cruel ways, evil talk, and false statements about others;ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ, ਬਦੀ, ਸੁਆਰਥ, ਨਫ਼ਰਤ, ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣੀ, ਕਤਲ, ਲੜਾਈ, ਬੇਈਮਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਭੈੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹਨ।

30 Hated by God, full of pride, without respect, full of loud talk, given to evil inventions, not honouring father or mother,ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਅਫ਼ਵਾਹਾਂ ਫ਼ੈਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਗੱਪਾਂ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਘਿਰਣਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਢੀਠ, ਹੰਕਾਰੀ, ਸ਼ੇਖੀਬਾਜ਼, ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਦਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਨਿੱਤ ਨਵੇਂ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਈਜਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ।

31 Without knowledge, not true to their undertakings, unkind, having no mercy:ਉਹ ਮੂਰਖ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਚਨ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਦੂਜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਦਯਾ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਜਾਂ ਨਿਮਰਤਾ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।

32 Who, though they have knowledge of the law of God, that the fate of those who do these things is death, not only go on doing these things themselves, but give approval to those who do them.ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਕਿਫ਼ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਨੇਮ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਤੀਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਮਰ ਜਾਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਉਹੀ ਬਦਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਦਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
