ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਨਾਲੇ ਉਸ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਵਿਦ੍ਰੋਹ ਕਰੀਏ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਆਓ। ਆਪਾਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟੀਏ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਈਏ।”

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਹੀ, ਆਗੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੱਕ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਨੇ।” ਪਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਆਗੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ।

ਲੋਕਾ 19:14
ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਾਸਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਗੁਟ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਕੇ ਕਾਸਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ, ‘ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਨਾਉਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ।’

ਲੋਕਾ 19:27
ਹੁਣ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ? ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਨਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ? ਮੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਲਿਆਕੇ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟੋ। ‘ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵੇਖਾਂਗਾ।’”

੧ ਪਤਰਸ 2:7
ਇਹ ਪੱਥਰ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਨਮੋਲ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਪੱਥਰ ਹੈ; “ਜਿਸ ਪੱਥਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਰੱਦਿਆ, ਸੋਈ ਖੂੰਜੇ ਦਾ ਸਿਰਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।”
