Romans 11:3
ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ, ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਢਾਹ ਸੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਇੱਕਲਾ ਨਬੀ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਪਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।”

ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਈਜ਼ਬਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢਦੀ ਪਈ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਓਬਦਿਆਹ ਨੇ 100 ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਹ-ਪੰਜਾਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੋ ਗੁਫ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੁਕਾਅ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਨ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਈਜ਼ਬਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ, ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 100 ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਦੋ ਗੁਫ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਹ-ਪੰਜਾਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਲੁਕਾਅ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਰੋਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵੀ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ।

ਤਦ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੁਣ, ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਓ।” ਤਦ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਟੁੱਟੀ ਹੋਈ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਅੱਗੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਰਬ-ਸੱਕਤੀਮਾਨ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਤਸਾਹਿਤ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤੇਰੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕਲਾ ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।”

“ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਮੈਂ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਇਸਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਾਇਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰਤੇ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਨਬੀ ਕਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਨ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਖਤਰਨਾਕ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਬੀ ਕਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।”

ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਵਗਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਵਿਦ੍ਰੋਹ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਪਿੱਠਾ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਣਦੇਖਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢਿਆ ਉੱਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਮੋੜਨ ਦਾ ਯਤਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਪਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬੜੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਕਾਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤੇ।
