ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮੋਢਿਆਂ ਉਤਲਾ ਭਾਰ ਲਾਹ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰੀ ਦੀ ਟੋਕਰੀ ਲੁਹਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਖੜੀਆਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਇਹ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਭਾਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕਣਾ ਪੈਣਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮੋਢਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਲਠ੍ਠ ਵਾਂਗ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਲਠ੍ਠ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਗਰਦਨ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਨਾਲ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।

ਮਿਸਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਜਿਉਣਾ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਟਾਂ ਗਾਰੇ ਦਾ ਔਖਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਔਖੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਖਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਖ਼ਰੋਜ 6:6
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਜੋ ਮਿਸਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਪਾਏ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੁਣ ਮਿਸਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੋਂਗੇ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਵਰਤਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਵਾਂਗਾ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਢੱਕੇ ਘੁੱਗੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖੰਬ (ਕੀਮਤੀ ਹੀਰੇ) ਮਿਲਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਸੋਨੇ ਨਾਲ ਚਮਕਦੇ ਖੰਭ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨਗੇ।”
