Psalm 78:36
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਸਨ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਹੋਣ। ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੈਠਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਹੋਣ। ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਓਹੋ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਓਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਚੰਗਾ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧੋਖਾ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਪੈਸਾ ਬਨਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 29:13
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਿਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਆਖਦੇ ਨੇ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ। ਇਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਁ ਨਿਕਲਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਆਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੂਰ ਹਨ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਦਰ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਰਟੇ-ਰਟਾਏ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਅਸੂਲ ਹਨ।
ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 5:28
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੂਸਾ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੁਣੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲੇ ਸੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਸੁਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ।

ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ! ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ? ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਸੀ? ਤੁਸੀਂ ਝੂਠ ਕਿਉਂ ਬੋਲਿਆ? ਦੇਖੋ, ਚੁੱਪ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਲੰਮੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੀਕ-ਤੇ ਆਦਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰਾ।

“ਅਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਘੇਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਪਰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਏਲ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ।”
