Psalm 40:14
ਉਹ ਮੰਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਉੱਮੀਦ ਕਰੋ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਹੋਕੇ ਭੱਜ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਉ।

ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਣ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕੀਂ ਖੁਸ਼ ਸਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਪਮਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਢੱਕੋ।

ਲੋਕ ਆਖਣਗੇ, ‘ਨੇਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।’” ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਗਵਾਹ ਆਉਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਣਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 41:11
ਦੇਖ, ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਹੋਵਣਗੇ। ਤੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਗੁਆਚ ਜਾਵਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਗੁੰਮ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 70:2
ਲੋਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿਉ! ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਵਾਉ! ਲੋਕੀਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਡਿੱਗਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 31:17
ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ, ਪਰ ਬੁਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਾਮੋਸ਼ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 9:3
ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਡਰਕੇ ਨੱਸ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ਼ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
