Psalm 30:9
ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਮਰ ਜਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਘਰ ਜਾਵਾਂ? ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਲੋਕ ਖਾਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੇਟਦੇ ਹਨ? ਉਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤਾਈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ।

ਯਸਈਆਹ 38:18
ਮੁਰਦਾ ਲੋਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ। ਸ਼ਿਓਲ ਵਿੱਚਲੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਮੁਰਦੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦੇ। ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਮੋਰੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੋਲਦੇ।
