ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਅਫ਼ਰਾਥਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਣਿਆ। ਅਸੀਂ ਕਰਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਰਯਥ-ਯਾਅਰ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ।

ਤਦ ਕਿਰਯਥ-ਯਾਰੀਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਅਬੀਨਾਦਾਬ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਛੱਡ ਆਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਬੀਨਾਦਾਬ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਸ ਰਸਮ ਨਾਲ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇ।

ਅਫ਼ਰਾਥ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਖੇਲ ਨੂੰ ਦਫ਼ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। (ਅਫ਼ਰਾਥ ਬੈਤਲਹਮ ਹੈ।)

ਆਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਲੀਮਲਕ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਓਮੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਮਹਿਲੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਲਉਨ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਤਲਹਮ ਤੋਂ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਥੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਕੇ ਵੱਸ ਗਏ।

ਤਾਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੀਹੋਰ ਦਰਿਆ ਤੋਂ ਹਮਾਥ ਦੇ ਲਾਂਘੇ ਤੀਕ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਿਰਯਥ-ਯਾਰੀਮ ਤੋਂ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਉਣ।
ਮੀਕਾਹ 5:2
ਮਸੀਹਾ ਬੈਤਲਹਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਨਮੇਗਾ ਪਰ ਬੈਤਲਹਮ ਅਫ਼ਰਾਬਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟਾ ਨਗਰ ਹੈਂ। ਤੇਰਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਛੋਟਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਂਗਲੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਗਿਣਿਆ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦੇ। ਪਰ “ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਹਾਕਮ” ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਨਿਕਲੇਗਾ। ਉਸਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਹਨ।
