Proverbs 5 - ASV (Punjabi)

1 My son, attend unto my wisdom; Incline thine ear to my understanding:ਵਿਭਚਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਦੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੇਟੇ, ਮੇਰੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਦਿਓ। ਮੇਰੇ ਸਮਝਦਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣੋ।

2 That thou mayest preserve discretion, And that thy lips may keep knowledge.ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵਿਵੇਕ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀ ਸਮਝਦਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲ ਸੱਕੋਂ।

3 For the lips of a strange woman drop honey, And her mouth is smoother than oil:ਇੱਕ ਪਰਾਈ ਔਰਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚੋਂਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਵਾਂਗ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਬੋਲਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੇਲ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਚਿਕਨਾ ਹੈ।

4 But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, Sharp as a two-edged sword.ਪਰ ਅਖੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹ ਕੁੜਤਨ ਅਤੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਇਹ ਕੌੜੀ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਵਰਗੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ!

5 Her feet go down to death; Her steps take hold on Sheol;ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਮੌਤ ਵੱਲ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਸਦੀਆਂ ਪੈਂੜਾ ਕਬਰ ਵੱਲ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

6 So that she findeth not the level path of life: Her ways are unstable, `and' she knoweth `it' not.ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਨਾ ਲੱਗੋ! ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਹੀ ਰਾਹ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਦੀ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ! ਸਾਵੱਧਾਨ ਰਹੋ! ਉਸ ਰਾਹ ਪਵੋ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਵੱਲ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

7 Now therefore, `my' sons, hearken unto me, And depart not from the words of my mouth.ਵਿਭਚਾਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੁੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਪੁੱਤਰੋ, ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੋ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਮੈਂ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ।

8 Remove thy way far from her, And come not nigh the door of her house;ਉਸ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਰਹੋ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਆਓ।

9 Lest thou give thine honor unto others, And thy years unto the cruel;ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਜ਼ੁਲਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੋਂਗੇ।

10 Lest strangers be filled with thy strength, And thy labors `be' in the house of an alien,ਅਤੇ ਅਜਨਬੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਖਰਚਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਖਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਕਿਸੇ ਅਜਨਬੀ ਦੇ ਟੱਬਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

11 And thou mourn at thy latter end, When thy flesh and thy body are consumed,ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਰਾਹੋਂਗੇ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

12 And say, How have I hated instruction, And my heart despised reproof;ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਖੋਂਗੇ, “ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਿਤ ਹੋਣ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕੀਤੀ: ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਝਿੜਕੇ ਜਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਰਸੱਕਾਰਿਆ

13 Neither have I obeyed the voice of my teachers, Nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾੱ-ਬਾਪ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਸਤਾਦਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

14 I was well-nigh in all evil In the midst of the assembly and congregation.ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਲਗਭਗ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ, ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹ੍ਹਾਂ।”

15 Drink waters out of thine own cistern, And running waters out of thine own well.ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਟੋਏ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਓ। ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਵਗਣ ਦਿਓ।

16 Should thy springs be dispersed abroad, And streams of water in the streets?ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਰੱਖਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਓ ਨਾ ਬਣੋ।

17 Let them be for thyself alone, And not for strangers with thee.ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹੀ ਹੋਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।

18 Let thy fountain be blessed; And rejoice in the wife of thy youth.ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹਿਰਨੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਸ ਪਤਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣੋ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਜਵਾਨ ਸੀ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

19 `As' a loving hind and a pleasant doe, Let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; And be thou ravished always with her love.ਉਹ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਹਿਰਣੀ ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਹਰਨੋਟੀ ਹੋਵੇ। ਉਸਦੀਆਂ ਛਾਤੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਮਿਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਮਦਮਸਤ ਕਰੇ!

20 For why shouldest thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, And embrace the bosom of a foreigner?ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਪਰਾਈ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਭੁੱਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਉਂ ਪਵੋਂ? ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਪਰਾਈ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਗਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਲਾਵੋਂ?

21 For the ways of man are before the eyes of Jehovah; And he maketh level all his paths.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਕਦਮ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਮਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ।

22 His own iniquities shall take the wicked, And he shall be holden with the cords of his sin.ਬੁਰੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਸਾ ਲੈਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਇੱਕ ਰੱਸੀ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ।

23 He shall die for lack of instruction; And in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.ਬਦ ਆਦਮੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਨਹੀਨਤਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬੇਵਕੂਫ਼ੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਮਰਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
