Numbers 35:31
“ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਾਤਲ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਬਦਲਣ ਲਈ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਨਾ ਲਵੋ। ਉਸ ਕਾਤਲ ਨੂੰ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਰ ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਣਾਈ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਫਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਾਤਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਓ।
ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 19:11
“ਪਰ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਛੁਪਕੇ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੱਜਕੇ ਵੜ ਜਾਵੇ।
