ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਦਾ ਗਿਦਾਊਨ ਕੋਲ ਫ਼ੇਰਾ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ, ਗਿਦਾਊਨ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੰਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਦੂਤ ਆਇਆ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਦੂਤ ਆਕੇ ਆਫ਼ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਹੜ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਬੈਠ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਰੁੱਖ ਅਬੀਅਜਰੀ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਤੋਂ ਯੋਆਸ਼ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਸੀ। ਯੋਆਸ਼ ਗਿਦਾਊਨ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। ਗਿਦਾਊਨ ਮਿਦਯਾਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਲਕੋਣ ਲਈ ਵਾਈਨ ਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਣਕ ਪੀਹ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

ਯਸ਼ਵਾ 17:2
ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਦੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਉਹ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸਨ ਅਬੀਅਜ਼ਰ, ਹੇਲਕ, ਅਸਰੀਏਲ, ਸ਼ਕਮ, ਹੇਫ਼ਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਮੀਦਾ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ।

ਕਜ਼ਾૃ 6:24
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਗਿਦਾਊਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉਸਾਰੀ। ਗਿਦਾਊਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਰੱਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਹੈ।” ਉਹ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਆਫ਼ਰਾਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੈ। ਆਫ਼ਰਾਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅਜ਼ਰ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਕਜ਼ਾૃ 6:34
ਗਿਦਾਊਨ ਕੋਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਬੀਅਜ਼ਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀ ਵਜਾਈ।

ਪਰ ਗਿਦਾਊਨ ਨੇ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਥੋੜਾ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ, ਅਬੀਅਜਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਵਾਢੀ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੇਲਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੀ ਵਾਢੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਇੱਕਤ੍ਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕੀ ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ?
