ਮੋਆਬੀ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਦਮੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆ ਅੱਗੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਲੀਆ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾਧਾ। ਉਹ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਪਓਰ ਬਆਲ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
