ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਰੀਬਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਸੀ। ਇਹੀ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਝਗੜਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹੀ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸੀ।
