ਪਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ। ਪਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਏ।
