Matthew 27:12
ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਏ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ।

ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ-ਜਿਵੇਂ ਭੇਡ ਜ਼ਿਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਲਿਜਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਲੇਲੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਦੋਂ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਵੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਉਸਦੀ ਉੱਨ ਲਾਹੁਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ।
ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 38:13
ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਬੋਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸੁਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਗੂੰਗੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬੋਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕਦਾ।

ਪਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉੱਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਵੇਖਕੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਬੜਾ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ।

ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ। ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਸਹਾਰੇ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਕੋਈ ਧਮਕੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਨਹੀਂ, ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਹੀ ਨਿਆਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
