Matthew 12:33
ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਦੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੀ ਹੋ “ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ, ਰੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਬਣਾਓ। ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਰੁੱਖ ਬੁਰਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਸਦਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਵੀ ਭੈੜਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਬਿਰਛ ਆਪਣੇ ਫ਼ਲੋਂ ਹੀ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਕੁਲਹਾੜਾ ਹੁਣ ਬਿਰਛਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵੀ ਬਿਰਛ ਚੰਗੇ ਫ਼ਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢੱਕੇ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”

ਹੇ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਓ! ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕਟੋਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਥਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਵੀ ਸਾਫ਼ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ ਕੀ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਦੇ ਪੇੜ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਲ ਉਗ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ? ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਦੀ ਵੇਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਲ ਉੱਗ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ? ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਦੀ ਵੇਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਲ ਉੱਗ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਨਹੀਂ। ਅਤੇ ਲੂਣੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਖੂਹ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦਾ।
