Mark 13 - DBY (Punjabi)

1 And as he was going out of the temple, one of his disciples says to him, Teacher, see what stones and what buildings!ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਾਲੀ ਥਾਂ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਚੇਲੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਵੇਖੋ! ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਮਾਰਤਾਂ ਕਿੰਨੀਆਂ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਣੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ!”

2 And Jesus answering said to him, Seest thou these great buildings? not a stone shall be left upon a stone, which shall not be thrown down.ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਹ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਇਮਾਰਤਾਂ, ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਇੱਕ-ਇੱਕ ਪੱਥਰ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੂਜੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਗਾ।”

3 And as he sat on the mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,ਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਤਰਸ, ਯਾਕੂਬ, ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਦ੍ਰਿਯਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕਲਾ ਬੈਠਾ ਸੀ। ਉਥੋ ਉਹ ਮੰਦਰ ਵੇਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਸਨ। ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ।

4 Tell us, when shall these things be, and what is the sign when all these things are going to be fulfilled?“ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕਦੋਂ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ? ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦਾ ਕੀ ਸਬੂਤ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਵਾਪਰਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ?”

5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any one mislead you.ਯਿਸੂ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗਾ, “ਹੋਸ਼ਿਆਰ ਰਹੋ! ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਮਰਾਹ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਿਓ।

6 For many shall come in my name, saying, It is *I*, and shall mislead many.ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਣਗੇ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਓਹੋ ਹਾਂ’ ਇਉ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਰਖ ਬਨਾਉਣਗੇ।

7 But when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be not disturbed, for [this] must happen, but the end is not yet.ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਜੰਗਾਂ, ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਕਿ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣੋਂਗੇ। ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਘਬਰਾਉਣਾ ਨਾ। ਅੰਤ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਅੰਤ ਹਾਲੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।

8 For nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be earthquakes in [different] places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these things [are the] beginnings of throes.ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਕੌਮ ਦੂਜੀ ਕੌਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜੇਗੀ, ਇੱਕ ਰਾਜ ਇੱਕ ਰਾਜ ਦੂਜੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਕਤ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੂਚਾਲ ਆਉਣਗੇ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੂਤਕ ਦੇ ਦਰਦ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ।

9 But *ye*, take heed to yourselves, for they shall deliver you up to sanhedrims and to synagogues: ye shall be beaten and brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them;“ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚੌਕਸ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਚਿਹਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਜਾਕੇ ਕੁੱਟਣਗੇ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਕਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦੇਵੋਂਗੇ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਅਨੁਸਰਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ।

10 and the gospel must first be preached to all the nations.ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇੰਜੀਲ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।

11 But when they shall lead you away to deliver you up, be not careful beforehand as to what ye shall say, [nor prepare your discourse]: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak; for *ye* are not the speakers, but the Holy Spirit.ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਗਿਰਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਚਿਹਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰਨ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੱਗੋ ਹੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੀ ਕਹੀਏ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹੀ ਆਖਣਾ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੋਲ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ, ਇਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਖੁਦ ਬੋਲੇਗਾ।

12 But brother shall deliver up brother to death, and father child; and children shall rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.“ਭਰਾ-ਭਰਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਫ਼ੜਵਾਉਨਗੇ। ਪਿਓ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਫ਼ੜਵਾਏਗਾ। ਇੰਝ ਹੀ, ਬੱਚੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਂ-ਬਾਪ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਫ਼ੜਵਾਉਣਗੇ।

13 And ye will be hated of all on account of my name; but he that has endured to the end, *he* shall be saved.ਮੇਰੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਭ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅੰਤ ਤੱਕ ਸਬਰ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਸਹੇਗਾ ਉਹੀ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation standing where it should not, (he that reads let him consider [it],) then let those in Judaea flee to the mountains;“ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ‘ਭਿਆਨਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖੋਂਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।’ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਵੇਖੋਂਗੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।” (ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਕਿ ਇਸਦਾ ਕੀ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ।) “ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ, ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਭੱਜ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

15 and him that is upon the housetop not come down into the house, nor enter [into it] to take away anything out of his house;ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇਰੀ ਦੇ ਭੱਜ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਘਰ ਦੀ ਛੱਤ ਤੇ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਥੱਲਿਉਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।

16 and him that is in the field not return back to take his garment.ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੁੜਤਾ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਪਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।

17 But woe to those that are with child and to those that give suck in those days!“ਉਹ ਵਕਤ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾੜਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਦੁੱਧ ਪੀਂਦੇ ਨਿਆਣਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਾਵਾਂ ਹਨ।

18 And pray that it may not be in winter time;ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਸਰਦੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਵਾਪਰੇ।

19 for those days shall be distress such as there has not been the like since [the] beginning of creation which God created, until now, and never shall be;ਭਲਾ ਕਿਉਂ? ਓਨ੍ਹੀ ਦਿਨੀ, ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਆਉਣਗੀਆਂ ਉਹ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਸਾਜੀ ਸੀ, ਇੱਥੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲਾਂ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ।

20 and if [the] Lord had not cut short those days, no flesh should have been saved; but on account of the elect whom he has chosen, he has cut short those days.ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘੱਟ ਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਨਾ ਬਚਦਾ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਘਟਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

21 And then if any one say to you, Lo, here [is] the Christ, or Lo, there, believe [it] not.“ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਆਖਣਗੇ, ‘ਵੇਖੋ! ਮਸੀਹ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੈ’ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਆਖਣ, ‘ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੈ!’ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ।

22 For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and give signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਅਤੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਨਬੀ ਆਉਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਿਸ਼ਮੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਚੰਭੇ ਵਿਖਾਉਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਵ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਗੁਮਰਾਹ ਕਰਣਗੇ।

23 But do *ye* take heed: behold, I have told you all things beforehand.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੇ ਚੌਕਸ ਰਹਿਣਾ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚੌਕਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

24 But in those days, after that distress, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give its light;“ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ, ‘ਸੂਰਜ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਚਾਨਣੀ ਗੁਆ ਲਵੇਗਾ।

25 and the stars of heaven shall be falling down, and the powers which are in the heavens shall be shaken;ਤਾਰੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚਲੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ ਹਿੱਲ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।’

26 and then shall they see the Son of man coming in clouds with great power and glory;“ਤਦ ਲੋਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਵੇਖਣਗੇ।

27 and then shall he send his angels and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from end of earth to end of heaven.ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਚਾਰੀ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਭੇਜੇਗਾ। ਦੂਤ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਕੌਮ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ।

28 But learn the parable from the fig-tree: when its branch already becomes tender and puts forth the leaves, ye know that the summer is near.“ਅੰਜੀਰ ਦਾ ਰੁੱਖ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸਬਕ ਸਿੱਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ ਹਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਮਲ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਪੱਤੇ ਉੱਗਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਫ਼ਿਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਗਰਮੀ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ।

29 Thus also *ye*, when ye see these things happening, know that it is near, at the doors.ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੇਖੋਂ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਸਮਾਂ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਬੂਹੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੈ।

30 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall in no wise pass away, till all these things take place.ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਇਸ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਦੇ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਜੀ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ।

31 The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall in no wise pass away.ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ, ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਸਭ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਚਨ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

32 But of that day or of that hour no one knows, neither the angels who are in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father.“ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਨਾ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੂਤ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵਕਤ ਕਦੋਂ ਆਵੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਿਤਾ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।

33 Take heed, watch and pray, for ye do not know when the time is:ਚੌਕਸ ਰਹੋ! ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਰਹੋ! ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਘੜੀ ਕਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਆ ਜਾਵੇ।

34 [it is] as a man gone out of the country, having left his house and given to his bondmen the authority, and to each one his work, and commanded the doorkeeper that he should watch.“ਇਹ ਜਮਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਘਰ ਛੱਡਿਆ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੋਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਨੋਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਖਾਸ ਕੰਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਦਰਬਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ।

35 Watch therefore, for ye do not know when the master of the house comes: evening, or midnight, or cock-crow, or morning;ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਤੱਤਪਰ ਰਹਿਣਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਕਦੋਂ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਵਾਪਸ ਮੁੜ ਆਵੇ। ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਆਥਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਜਾਂ ਅੱਧੀ ਰਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਜਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਤੜਕੇ ਜਾਂ ਸੂਰਜ ਚੜ੍ਹ੍ਹਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਆਵੇਗਾ।

36 lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.ਉਹ ਝੱਟ ਹੀ ਵਾਪਸ ਆ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਚੌਕਸ ਰਹੋ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੁੱਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੋ।

37 But what I say to you, I say to all, Watch.ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ‘ਜਾਗਦੇ ਰਹੋ।’”
