Luke 8:51
ਯਿਸੂ ਜੈਰੁਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਤਰਸ, ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਕੁੜੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਂ-ਬਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਘਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਉਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ “ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਕਪਟੀਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੂੰਜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਪਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 42:2
ਉਹ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਚੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੋਲੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਚੀਖੇਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਚਾਂਗਰਾਂ ਮਾਰੇਗਾ।
