“ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਾਢੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਮੀਂਹ ਨਾ ਪਿਆ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਾਲ ਪਿਆ ਕਿ, ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਧਵਾਵਾਂ ਸਨ।

ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੀ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਮੀਂਹ ਨਾ ਪਾਵੇ। ਅਤੇ ਸਾਢੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਮੀਂਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਿਆ।

ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਕਾ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿਸ਼ਬੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਬੀ ਸੀ। ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਹਾਬ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਾਂ। ਉਸਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ, ਮੈਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਨਾ ਮੀਂਹ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਨਾ ਤ੍ਰੇਲ। ਮੀਂਹ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।”

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਉਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਹਰ ਦਿਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਮਿਹਰ ਵਿਖਾਉਣੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਵਿਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤਰਸ ਵਿਖਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ”

ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਉਸੇ ਪਲ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ-ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਪਿਤਾ! ਸਵਰਗ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਲਾਕ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੁਕਾਇਆ, ਪਰ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਸੀ।

ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਬਆਲ ਦੇ ਨਬੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੀਜੇ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਮੀਂਹ ਨਾ ਪਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਅਹਾਬ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ। ਮੈਂ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਮੀਂਹ ਵਰਸਾਵਾਂਗਾ।”
ਅਫ਼ਸੀਆਂ 1:11
ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ, ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੈਸਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਜ਼ਾਮੰਦ ਕਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਫ਼ਸੀਆਂ 1:9
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਗੁਪਤ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਰਗਟ ਕੀਤੀ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਮਸੀਹ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਰੋਮੀਆਂ 9:20
ਉਹ ਨਾ ਪੁੱਛੋ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਹੋ। ਇਨਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਬਹਿਸ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਹੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰਜਣ੍ਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁੱਛ ਸੱਕਦਾ, “ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੰਝ ਕਿਉਂ ਬਣਾਇਆ?”
