Leviticus 24:18
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਦੇਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਟੋਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਅਦਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਦੇ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
