Leviticus 21:17
“ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ; ਜੇਕਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਰੀਰਿਕ ਨੁਕਸ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਜਨ ਦਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵਾ ਨਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ।

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਕੋਰਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਨੁਯਾਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਰਸਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੱਚ ਮੁੱਚ ਉਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਰਸਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੱਚ ਮੁੱਚ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਲੈ ਆਵੇਗਾ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣ ਲਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਆਹ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਲੈ ਆਵੇਗਾ।
ਅਹਬਾਰ 10:3
ਤਾਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਜਿਹੜੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਉਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਸਤਿਕਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।’” ਹਾਰੂਨ ਚੁੱਪ-ਚਾਪ ਸੀ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਿਸੂ ਇੱਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਵਰਗ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਉੱਚਾ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਹੱਦ ਤੱਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਕੀ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਗਲਤ ਨਾ ਕਹਿ ਸੱਕਣ। ਉਸਦੀ ਕੇਵਲ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਉੱਪਰ ਕਾਬੂ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਣ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਓ, ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂ, ਅਸੀਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ, ਧਰਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਰਹਿਤ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਤੀਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ।
ਅਹਬਾਰ 21:21
“ਜੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਵੰਸ਼ਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਰੀਰਕ ਨੁਕਸ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਮ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਜਨ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ।
ਅਹਬਾਰ 21:6
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਾਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ) ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਹਬਾਰ 3:16
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਾੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਅੱਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੀ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਾਰੀ ਚਰਬੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਅਹਬਾਰ 3:11
ਜਾਜਕ ਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਾੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਅੱਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਜਨ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਹੈ।
