ਸਾਡੀ ਚਮੜੀ ਭਠ੍ਠੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਭਖਦੀ ਹੈ। ਭੁੱਖ ਕਾਰਣ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਤੇਜ਼ ਬੁਖਾਰ ਹੈ।

ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਕਾਲਖ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਕਾਲੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੱਕ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣਦਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਚਮੜੀ ਢਲਕ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਮੜੀ ਹੁਣ ਲੱਕੜ ਵਾਂਗ ਸੁੱਕੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।

ਮੇਰੀ ਚਮੜੀ ਸੜ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਲਹਿ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਬੁਖਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਜਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
