ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਦੇ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ, ਲੋਕ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੀਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਉਹ ਆਗੂ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇਖੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
