ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਲ 48 ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਮਿਲੀ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਸਬੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਹੋਰਨਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕੀ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਸਨ।
