Jeremiah 51:58
ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: “ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਮੋਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕੰਧ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਖਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਕੱ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਅੱਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਾਲਣ ਬਣਨਗੇ।”

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਕਾਸੇ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਤੇ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਬੇਕਾਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 50:15
ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੋਰ ਮਚਾਉਂਦੇ ਨੇ! ਬਾਬਲ ਨੇ ਆਤਮ-ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ! ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਨਾਰੇ ਢਹਿ ਗਏ ਹਨ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਉਹ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਹਨ। ਕੌਮੋ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਉਹ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਓਹੀ ਸਲੂਕ ਕਰੋ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 51:44
ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਬਆਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਗਲ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਿਗਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਢਹਿ ਢੇਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਅਤੇ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਣੋ ਰੁਕ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 45:1
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਖੋਰੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਹ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਰਾਜੇ, ਖੋਰੁਸ, ਬਾਰੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ। “ਮੈਂ ਖੋਰੁਸ ਦਾ ਸੱਜਾ ਹੱਥ ਫ਼ੜਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਖੋਹਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਖੋਰੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੋਕਣਗੇ। ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਖੋਰੁਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਚੱਲਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”
ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 127:1
ਮੰਦਰ ਜਾਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਗੀਤ। ਜੇ ਘਰ ਉਸਾਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਕਤ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖ ਰਿਹਾ, ਤਾਂ ਚੌਕੀਦਾਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਕਤ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 65:23
ਔਰਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਂਨਮ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਜੰਮਣ ਪੀੜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਹਿਣਗੀਆਂ, ਔਰਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ ਕਿ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਸਮੇਂ ਕੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੁਭਾਗੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 51:9
ਅਸੀਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹਿਆ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਠੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਈਏ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਵੇ। ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਉਹੀ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਕਿ ਬਾਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ।

ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਫ਼ੌਜੀ ਲੜਨ ਤੋਂ ਰੁਕ ਗਏ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਿਲਿਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਠਹਿਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਨੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਡਰੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਨੇ। ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਸੜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਲਾਖਾਂ ਟੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
