Jeremiah 44:12
ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬੋੜੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਲੋਕ ਹੀ ਬਚੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੋੜੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਕਤਲ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਜਾਂ ਭੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਮਰਨਗੇ। ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੰਦਾ ਬੋਲਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ, ਹੋਰ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲੋ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਸਰਾਪ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਬਣ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਹੋਰ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੇਇੱਜ਼ਤੀ ਕਰਨਗੀਆਂ।

ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਬੰਦੀਵਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਵਰਤਣਗੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪ ਦੇਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਆਖਣਗੇ: ‘ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਹੀ ਕਰੇ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਅਹਾਬ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ!’

ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਦੁੱਖ ਪਹੁੰਚਾ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ? ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ, ਔਰਤਾਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿੱਕੇ ਨਿਆਣਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਵੱਖ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ। ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਰੱਖ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ।

“ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਹੁਣੀ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਨਾਸ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਿੱਖਣੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰੀ ਹੋਏ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਜਾਜਕ ਠਹਿਰਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰੀ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰਾਂਗਾ।
