ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 29:17
ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਤਲਵਾਰ, ਭੁੱਖਮਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਭੇਜਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਖਾਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਬਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ।
