Jeremiah 11:12
ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਕਸਬਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਜਾਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਪਾਸ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਣਗੇ। ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸਮਾਂ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬੁੱਤ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਣਗੇ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਦਿਓ। ਉਹ ਬੁੱਤ ਕਿੱਥੋ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਸਾਜੇ ਨੇ? ਆਓ ਦੇਖੀਏ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਬੁੱਤ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਂਦੇ ਨੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਯਹੂਦਾਹ, ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਹੀ ਬੁੱਤ ਨੇ!
ਕਜ਼ਾૃ 10:14
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਾਓ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਪੁਕਾਰੋ। ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦਿਉ।”

ਆਪਣੀ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਦੀ ਘੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਬੁਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 45:20
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹੀ ਇੱਕੋ ਇੱਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੋਕ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਗਏ ਹੋ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸ ਆਓ। (ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਿਕੰਮੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 44:17
“ਅਸੀਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਹਰ ਉਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੀਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵਾਂਗੇ। ਅਸੀਂ ਅਤੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ, ਸਾਡੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਅਤੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਕਸਬਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਾਸ ਭੋਜਨ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਸਾਂ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਮਾੜੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਵਾਪਰੀ।
