ਹੋ ਸੀਅ 9:10-10

10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baal-peor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.

10 ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਬੁੱਤ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਨਾਸ ਹੋਣਾ “ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਿਆ, ਉਸ ਵਕਤ, ਉਹ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਜੇ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਬਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਫ਼ਲਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਫੇਰ ਉਹ ਬਆਲ-ਪਉਰ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਕੇ ਬਦਲ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੜੇ ਫ਼ਲਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਆਪਣੇ ਦ੍ਰੱਖਤ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਢ ਦੇਣਾ ਪਿਆ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ (ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ) ਵਰਗੇ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
