Hosea 10:9
ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਭੁਗਤਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ “ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਤੂੰ ਗਿਬਆਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਹੈਂ (ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਉੱਥੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।) ਯੁੱਧ ਯਕੀਨਨ ਗਿਬਆਹ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਾਵੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਗਿਬੀਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਭ੍ਰਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਕੇਵਲ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 8:21
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਜਵਾਨੀ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਮੰਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੁਣੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਲੇਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਬੁਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਬੁਰੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਭੰਨਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੁੱਢੇ ਆਦਮੀ, ਘਰ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਕਾ ਮਾਰਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਭੋਗ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।”
ਕਜ਼ਾૃ 20:5
ਪਰ ਰਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਗਿਬਆਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਉਸ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਠਹਿਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਾਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਲਾਤਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਰ ਗਈ।

ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੜਨ ਵਾਲੇ 4,00,000 ਆਦਮੀ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰ ਲਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ 4,00,000 ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ। ਹਰੇਕ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਸੀ।
ਸਫ਼ਨਿਆਹ 3:6
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੁਰਜ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਭ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵੀਰਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ, ਓੱਥੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵੀਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਉੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਹੋ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ।
