ਇਬਰਾਨੀਆਂ 6:17
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਹ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਸਦਾ ਵਾਇਦਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਹ ਸਬੂਤ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਾਇਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਝ ਲੈਣ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਸੌਂਹ ਖਾਕੇ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
