ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਕਰੇ ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਵਾਇਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਥਾਨ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਸੀ।
