ਲਾਮਕ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ: “ਆਦਾਹ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੱਲਾਹ, ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੋ! ਲਾਮਕ ਦੀਓ ਪਤਨੀਓ ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੋ! ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਵਾਨ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੁਟਿਆ।

ਬਿਲਆਮ ਦਾ ਦੂਸਰਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਬਿਲਆਮ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆ: “ਬਾਲਾਕ, ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਸੁਣ। ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ, ਸਿੱਪੋਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ।

ਯੋਥਾਮ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਯੋਥਾਮ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਦੇ ਆਗੁਆਂ ਨੇ ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਜਾਕੇ ਗਰਿੱਜ਼ੀਮ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਦੀ ਚੋਟੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਯੋਥਾਮ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਣਾਈ: “ਸ਼ਕਮ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਓ ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੋ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਨਣ ਦਿਉ।
