ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ!” ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਹਾਂ ਪੁੱਤਰ।” ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੱਕੜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗ ਤਾਂ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਲੇਲਾ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਬਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵਾਂਗੇ?”
