Genesis 21:14
ਅਗਲੀ ਸਵੇਰ, ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਭੋਜਨ ਪਾਣੀ ਲਿਆ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਹਾਜਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਹਾਜਰਾ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ। ਹਾਜਰਾ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਏਰਸਬਾ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੁੰਮਣ ਲਗੀ।

ਹਾਜਰਾ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਇਸਮਾਏਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਹਾਜਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਇੱਕ ਟੋਭੇ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਪਿਆ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਟੋਭਾ ਸੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੀ।

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਤਸੱਲੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਵੱਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਬਏਰਸਬਾ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ। ਉੱਥੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਡਰ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਵੀ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਬਏਰਸ਼ਬਾ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ, ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਬਏਰਸ਼ਬਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਛੱਡ ਗਿਆ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਈ ਸੁੱਕੇ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਲੱਭ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਇੱਕ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਪਰ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਏਸਾਓ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਇੰਨੇ ਵੱਧ ਗਏ ਕਿ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਏਸਾਓ ਨੇ ਕਨਾਨ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਏਸਾਓ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ-ਧੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਲਾਮਾਂ, ਗਊਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਨਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਹਰ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਨਾਲ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਈਰ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। (ਏਸਾਓ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਦੋਮ ਵੀ ਹੈ-ਅਤੇ ਇਹੀ ਸੇਈਰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਦੂਸਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਵੀ ਹੈ।)

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਖੂਹ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਿਬਆਹ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਏਰਸਬਾ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਖੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਬਏਰਸ਼ਬਾ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਖੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹੀ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਬਏਰਸਬਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਇੱਕ ਖਾਸ ਰੁੱਖ ਲਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ, ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਸ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਦਾ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 22:3
ਸਵੇਰੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੋਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਠੀ ਪਾਈ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੋ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਬਲੀ ਲਈ ਲੱਕੜ ਕੱਟੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਜਾਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਏਰਸਬਾ ਵਾਪਸ ਪਰਤ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਉੱਥੇ ਠਹਿਰ ਗਿਆ।

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਪਾਣੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਰਾਤ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ। ਦੂਸਰੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਤੜਕੇ ਉੱਠੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੁਣ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਮਾਲਿਕ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।”

ਦੂਸਰੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਵੱਖਤੇ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਂਹ ਚੁੱਕੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ।
ਗਲਾਤੀਆਂ 4:23
ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਔਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਜਨਮਿਆਂ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਆਮ ਇਨਸਾਨੀ ਢੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਨਮਿਆਂ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਔਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਜਨਮਿਆ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਉਸ ਵਾਇਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਜਨਮਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
